JOB SKILLS & ABILITIES:

• Prepare accurate cost estimates and proposals for commercial construction projects located in the Raleigh-Durham area.
• Review scope of work on awarded projects to ensure complete understanding of the project and materials.

• Work closely with material vendors on pricing and product specifications.
• Engage with customers to ensure understanding of scope and address scope questions.
• Visit clients to build strong personal and corporate relationships.
• Attend client and industry events outside normal business hours.
• Manage all job-related documents including paper, electronic, and estimating software.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 3-5 years’ estimating experience in commercial construction. Experience working on projects focused on acoustical / specialty ceilings highly desired.
• Proficiency in Excel, Outlook, and takeoff software. Previous experience with Sage 100 software highly desired.
• Strong communication and math skills.
• Project management and field experience preferred.
• Exceptional work ethic and desire to complete tasks on schedule with excellence.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
