A leading commercial real estate firm in St. Louis is seeking a skilled Maintenance Chief to oversee the day-to-day operations of a prestigious office tower.

This dynamic role will involve managing all aspects of building maintenance, including preventative maintenance, repairs, and renovations. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and a proven track record of success in a similar role. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement maintenance procedures.
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify and address issues.
  • Schedule repairs, maintenance, and installations.
  • Coordinate activities of contracted workers.
  • Monitor equipment inventory and place orders.
  • Assist in budget preparation and management.
  • Manage relationships with contractors and service providers.
  • Maintain maintenance logs and report on daily activities.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety policies.
  • Review and prioritize building and tenant work orders.
  • Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs.
  • Analyze and report on maintenance activities.
  • Plan and implement new methods to improve operations and reduce costs.

Qualifications:

  • 5-7 years of related work experience in Commercial Real Estate.
  • Proven experience as a maintenance manager or supervisor.
  • Strong team-building and collaboration skills.
  • Experience in planning and scheduling maintenance operations.
  • Proficiency in building management systems, preferably Alerton.
  • Solid understanding of technical aspects of plumbing, mechanical, and electrical systems.
  • Working knowledge of facilities machines and equipment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Outstanding organizational and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
  • Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies.
