Each and every underwriter is a part owner through their ESOP (Employee Stock Option Program) and assumes the responsibility of managing and growing their own book of business with the support of the internal teams and maintaining the renewal business as well.

Their insurance subsidiaries are rated A+ “Superior” by AM Best company and A “Strong” by Standard & Poor’s.

  • The role consists of underwriting new or renewal individual accounts.
  • Build relationships with producers, reinsurers, and contacts.
  • Review complex submissions, account losses, pricing models, and profitable premiums.
  • Review sources of profit by selecting appropriate risks. Assist in the approval, issuance, or change requests for policies.
  • Evaluate, analyze, accept, decline, rate, quote, and bind new or renewal submissions with high premium or risk exposure.
  • Strive to generate new relationships between agents, reinsurers, and contacts.
  • Manage and review simple to moderately complex submissions, account losses, pricing models, and profitable premiums.
  • Manage the approval, issuance, or change requests for policies.

Preferred skills:

Ability to use analytical methods in underwriting processes to find workable solutions.
Ability to verbally and in writing, communicate findings and recommendations to internal and external contacts on underwriting matters.
Has typically obtained letter of authority.

Salary Range is $135000-$150000  


Note: To comply with state laws, the annual base salary range for this position has been provided as a guideline. The final salary offer will be determined based on factors such as work experience, education/training, key skills, and other considerations.
